Hello, I’m Alison or Ali. I have a background in childcare, especially early years, working both in private nurseries and primary schools, and later, assessing and quality assuring related qualifications.

I am naturally inquisitive, or nosey, whichever way you look at it! This has encouraged me to find out more about SEND and I have completed several Level 2 and 3 qualifications relating to Autism, challenging behaviour, mental health, Psychology and specific learning difficulties.  

 

I learn more from the children, who always have something interesting to share or show, then I could ever learn from a textbook!

I am adaptable to meet individual needs and firmly believe that there is no “one size fits all” approach. 

 

It is important to support develop resilience, coping skills and self-esteem alongside other life skills.

I am married with three children and we have a dog called Ash who enjoys meeting the young people I support.  He’s a big softy!

I love craft and baking as well as beach walks and geocaching with my family.
