Exmouth Food Bank

What they do: Provide emergency food parcels to people or families in need. Additionally, they can refer you to other agencies for ongoing support (e.g. housing, benefits, debt advice).

How to get help: You need be referred by another agency. We are happy to make a referral - contact cara@esteemteam.co.uk. Alternatively, you can ask school, Citizens Advice or your GP.
Open Door Exmouth Community Cafe and Community Fridge

What they do: Café offers affordable meals, free / low-cost food, and access to shared donated food (fresh & non-perishables).

What they do: A group for families with young children where you can access free nappies, clothes, snacks for children in a welcoming cafe.

What they do: Free, confidential advice on benefits, debt, money & housing. East Devon Citizen’s Advice offers a Parent Support Project specially to support parents of primary aged children.

East Devon District Council (EDDC) Financial Hardship Support

What they do: Offer financial support such as hardship funds, energy / utility-bill help, and support for low-income or vulnerable residents. Also may be able to support with rent, housing issues, Council Tax support, utility support or other hardship-related help.

The Salvation Army Toy Bank

What they do: Toy Bank can provide toys for families who may be struggling to finance gifts for the children.

MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub)
If you are worried about the safety of a child in Devon and want to
speak to someone, or if you are a child worried about your own safety,
please contact our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on 0345 155
1071 or email mashsecure@devon.gov.uk and give as much information as
you can. If a child is at immediate risk contact the police on 999.
CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services)
Offering additional crisis support. If a child or young person (under
18) is experiencing a mental health crisis, you can now access Child
and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) 24/7. Please contact
03300 245 321 during normal hours (8am-5pm, Mon to Fri) or 0300 555
5000 outside these hours. Callers will speak to a call handler, their
call will be forwarded to a voicemail service and their message will
be returned within one hour.
PAPYRUS
A mental health charity dedicated to preventing young suicide. Call
08000684141/ Text 07860039967 for any young person who is experiencing
thoughts of suicide or for anyone who has concerns for a young person
