Hi my name is Mel. I have worked in a primary school for the last 4 years doing 1:1 work with different children who have complex needs, including PTSD, autism, complex trauma, anxiety and other children who need extra support.

I have completed a variety of courses to help me understand the children I have/do work with, which include attachment based mentoring, teaching students who have suffered complex trauma, caring for vulnerable children, young children's mental health, helping young people with mental health ,and understanding adhd.

I have also completed Lego therapy and completed an ITC level 3 paediatric first aid training.

I am passionate about children's mental health. I first became interested when I went traveling around America. I went back to America for the 2nd time and worked in a children's camp where the children had lost families in 9/11, this shaped me to become who I am today.

I first met Jenna when she welcomed me to volunteer at Haven (a mental health for youth project), I did this for around 2 years and along this I also volunteered at a Martial arts class for children.

I have 2 children so when I am not working I love to spend time with them, swimming, walking, and seeing friends. We enjoy wild camping as we love being outside with nature, getting around the fire pit and toasting marshmallows and making smores.
